Providing the weather reports are favourable, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will commence the flight to New Zealand at 2 a.m. on January 12 from Gerringong Beach, on the south'coast,'77 miles from Sydney. It is hoped to install apparatus on the Southern Cross enabling wireless telephony to be carried on during the flight. Sir Charles stated that he would probably carry two passengers.
