NORTH TARANAKI CRICKET

. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The northern division executive of the Taranaki Cricket Association met last night when business of a general nature relative to the current season was discussed. • z The following- members were present: Messrs. T. H. S. O. Jones, A. Gilbert, W. Beard, H. W. Brown, F. C. Ferry, H. J. Larkin, D. F. C. Saxton, P. S. Carroll and H. J. Abram (hon. secretary). Permission was sought by Mr. Lobban to play for Western Park club on Saturday and also in a Thursday country team. It was resolved that permission be granted, subject to the approval of the country association being first obtained. It was decided that the association should provide tea for the southern team after the match between North and South Taranaki on Saturday. The question of play on Pukekura Park on Saturday mornings by the primary school teams was considered at some length, but it was decided to take no further action until after the next meeting Of the Sportsground committee. Regarding the week-end fixtures the one-day matches are to be gone on with next week end. The matches postponed from last Saturday on account of rain, both senior B and junior, are to be played this week on the grounds originally allotted. The match between Waitara and New Plymouth, senior B, is to be regarded as a draw. On the motion of Mr. Ferry Mr. Larkin was appointed to keep a record of the points scored to matches. It was decided that on wet Saturdays players should attend their various grounds to obviate misunderstandings as to whether a game is to be played or not. The secretary was instructed to call meetings fqrtnightly.
