WEDDING.

LIVINGSTON—BLAIR. St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Hawera, was the scene of the wedding on Monday afternoon of Miss Jean Blair, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Blair, Hawera, and Mr. Heathcot Roy Home Livingston, Ohawe, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Heathcot Livingston, Hawera.. The Rev. Morrison Sutherland was the minister. The church, which had been attractively decorated by Mrs. A. Thomson and Miss Coleman with festoons and garlands of white spring blossoms and fern, made a charming setting for the celebration. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beautiful' heel-length gown of foam white georgette over satin, fashioned with a cowl neck and falling gracefully from a hip flare, with which a lace coatee with fitting sleeves was worn and a long embroidered silk tulle veil, arranged from a lace cappeline daintily finished . with orange flower buds, formed, a train. A sheaf of lilies completed a toilette attractive in its simplicity. Attending the bride as maids were Miss Ruth Alexander, Waverley, and the bride’s sister, Miss Esther Blair, Haweia, both wearing refreshingly pretty frocks, of lemon organdie sprigged in autumn tones made with berkie yolks of lace to tone and puff sleeves, with .which they wore Juliet caps of stranded pearls, French net mittens and shoes of a matching hue. Dainty floral muffs were carried by each maid.. I Mr. Maurice Wood, Kaupokonui, attended the bridegroom as best man, and Mr. Eric Hunter, Hawera, assisted as groomsman.. . . Following the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Camberwell Road, where about 135 guests from far and near were entertained. Mrs. Blair wore a smartly-cut frock in lapis lazuli blue crepe de chine with tailored cloth coat to tone and black straw hat showing faint touches of lemon. Her bouquet was of roses shading from lemon to gold. The house and table decorations were bright and springlike, toning with the colour scheme of the bridal party and carried out in all the rich Iceland poppy hues. At the conclusion of the happy gathering, at which many toasts were honoured, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. H. Livingstone left on their wedding tour by car, the bride smartly attired in a brown marocain frock and short coat of pony-skin with matching brown chip straw hat, lizard-skin shoes, bag and gloves to tone.
