WORK AT MUNICIPAL BATHS

COUNCIL COMMITTEE’S REPORT.

The report of the New Plymouth Borough Council baths committee, which was adopted at the council meeting last Monday, states: — “The dressing rooms which were moved from the western side are now in their new position and the work, of renovation is 'completed. The erection of the stand is going on well and excellent work is being done. “The work is necessarily slow on account of the heavy timbers. The fact that most of it must be bored and the different lengths of timber that must be used in their proper places to prevent waste has to be taken into account. The fact that old timber is being re-used is also an important factor in the case. The men employed are to be congratulated upon the excellence ot the workmanship, and the evident interest taken in the work is shown by the very small auantity of waste on such a large undertaking. ’
