DAMAGES FOR INJURIES
CAR RUNS DOWN CYCLIST.
AWARD MADE IN SUPREME COURT.

Wellington, Last Night. George Harrington, a labourer of Lower Hutt, was awarded £299 Is 4d special and £350 general damages and costs by a jury in the Supreme Court to-day against John Boyes Sankey, builder of Palmerston North, for injuries received through being knocked down by a motor-car driven by Sankey on September 11, IS3I. Negligence was alleged and liability was admitted. Harrington was cycling over a ramp in Randwich Crescent, Lower Hutt, when he was run down by Sankey, receiving a fractured shoulder, bodily injuries and concussion. He wad been unable to work since. Harrington , claimed £307 special damages and £2750 general damages.
