NORFOLK SAIDS FOR AUCKLAND.

The Federal steamer Norfolk 16ft New Plymouth for Auckland,- Napier, Wanganui and Wellington to continue loading yesterday morning. She carried 7000 boxes of butter and 4025 crates of cheese loaded at New Plymouth, but her meat allotment' was unloaded.

HAURAKI SAIDS FOR LYTTELTON.

Tbe Union Company’s motor-ship Hauraki completed th© discharge of 600 tons of Pacific Coast general cargo at New Plymouth, yesterday afternoon and sailed for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney to put out the remainder of her cargo. She loaded 50 tons of tankage at New Plymouth for the Pacific Coast and' a small quantity of general cargo. PAKEHA DUE TO LEAVE' LONDON. The Shaw, Savill steamer Pakeha is scheduled ■to leave London to-day for ■Suva, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. She is due at Suva on December 18, at Lyttelton on December 24 and at New Plymouth .about January 5. , ’ ' ' i TAI'NUI DUE AT WELLINGTON. The Shaw, Savill liner Tainui, which loaded at New Plymouth, was due at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Napier to complete her Homeward loading. She is scheduled to clear Wellington on Friday for Southampton and Landon, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. PORT FREMANTLE LEAVES SUVA. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that its motor-ship Port Fremantle, from Londion, left Suva yesterday morning for Lyttelton,- Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Lyttelton next Sunday and at New Plymouth to load about November 28. AUSTRALIND FROM NEW YORK. The Federal Company has received a wireless message from the A. and. A. Line chartered motor-ship Australind, en route from New York, Newport News and Gulf of Mexico ports to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland on Friday, evening. She is due at Wellington on November 17 to discharge the local portion of her cargo. G. H. SCALES’ CHARTER FOR WOOL. G. H. Scales, Ltd., have chartered three vessels to load wool in New Zealand this season for Dunkirk, London and Hull. The Bencruachan is due at Picton about December 12 from Port Kembla, and will later load at Napier, Tolaga Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Port Chalmers, clearing the last-named port about January 6. The motor-ship Anglo-Canadian will load wool in. New Zealand during JanuaryFebruary, and a second Ben Line steamer during February-March. INTERNATIONAL SIGNAL CODE. The Intercolonial Code of Signals comes into voluntary use for British vessels on January 1, 1933. From this date, until it is in general use internationally, presumably a year later, the new and the old codes -will be used concurrently by British ships, the use of the new code being denoted by the hoisting of the Code Pennant with the fly tied to the halyards. After the new code is brought into international use the .new ode will alone be used, and its .distinguishing sign will thenceforward be the Code Pennant hoisted in the’ordinary way.
