Logan began hife run and was fourth at the top of the straight. He. took the lead halfway down the straight and won comfortably, not driven out, by two 'lengths from GlOnrossie, who was a length in front of Roi L’Or. Red Shadow was a head away and Rollo was fifth. ' Harold Logan’s time, 4m. 10 2-5 b., was a world’s race record for' 1 two miles. The others’ times were 4m.' 20 4-ss. and 4m. 225-.

At the straight entrance Gold Country took the lead again and won very easily by two lengths from Enawah, with Dilworth two . lengths away. King Pointer was fourth. Biddy Parrish and Arctotis lost all chance at the start and Arctotis was pulled, up. Cannonball rushed away with a good lead from Admiral Bingen, Writer, F.ifa, Huon Voyage, Wrackler and Stanley T. Half a mile from home the leaders tired. Wrackler and Huon Voyage then made a run and took the lead at the straight entrance, with Olive Nelson coming fast. Wrackler was not pressed to win by two lengths, with Olive Nelson four lengths away and Great Way fourth. Times, 4m. 26 l-55., 4m. 28 2-55., 4m. 24 3-ss.
