CITY ORGANIST RESIGNS
RECITALS NOT WELL ATTENDED.

Wellington, Last Night. The resignation of Mr. Bernard F. Page as city organist was announced by the Mayor, Mr. Hislop, this evening. Mr. Hislop said organ recitals in the Town Hall had not been fully appreciated by the public, and this had impelled Mr. Pagfe to resigih His duties would cease at the end of the present month and he would receive three months’ leave of absence on full pay, in addition receiving pay for accumulated leave.
Mr. Page intends to visit England.
