COASTAL MOVEMENTS.

The John, from Dunedin, is to load at Timafu to-day for New Plymouth, via Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui, being due at New Plymouth on Tuesday. She should sail the same day for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.). The Totara is to load at Dunedin about Saturday for New Plymouth, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Totara is due at New Plymouth about November 3. (U.S.S. Co.)

.The Opihi left Dunedin for' New Plymouth on Tuesday via.Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. The Opihi is due at New Plymouth about Sunday and will proceed later to Westport. (U.S.S. Co.). The Hauturu arrived at New Plymouth from Onehunga yesterday, with 120 tons of cargo to discharge. She sailed for Wanganui in the afternoon to complete discharge there before returning to Onehunga. (Northern Co.), The Kini, from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson, is due at New Plymouth to-day with 110 tons of cargo to discharge and will proceed'to Westport and Greyfnouth later to-day. The Shaw, Savill liner Tainui has been delayed by rain in her operations at Lyttelton and is now scheduled to leave there for New Plymouth to-day. At New Plymouth she will lift 23,000 boxes of' butter and 10,000 crates of cheese.. The Tainui is to complete at Gisborne, Wellington and Napier; and is scheduled to clear Napier on November 11 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal, and 'Kingston. NORFOLK COMPLETES DISCHARGE. The Federal steamer Norfolk, at present completing discharge of her London cargo at Timaru, is to leave there tomorrow for New Plymouth, where she is due on Sunday to commence her homeward loading. The Norfolk will sail for Wanganui on Tuesday night and will complete at Wanganui, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Auckland on November 17 for London, Glasgow, Liverpool and. Avoumouth. HAURAKI CLEARED RAROTONGA, The Union Company’s motor-ship Hauraki left Rarotonga on Monday evening in .continuation of her voyage from Los Angeles to Auckland. In addition to fruit from Cook Islands for Auckland, the vessel has general merchandise from Pacific Coast ports for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. Canadian National Steamships have received cabled advice that, the Canadian Leader, inaugurating their new separate service to New Zealand, left Montreal on Monday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyt-. telton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on December 3 and at Wellington on December 8. DEPARTURE OF .THE REMUERA. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that’ its liner Reniuera is now scheduled to leave Auckland at noon today for London via the Panama Canal and Curacao. BARQUES TO VISIT AUCKLAND. Two large sailing vessels, the 3183ton German four-masted barque Passat and the 1972-ton Finnish barque Winterhude, are scheduled to reach Auckland early next year with cargoes of guano from Juan de Nova, Mozambique Cliarinel. The Passat is expected in January and the Winterhude in February. AMERICAN SHIPS TO BE SCRAPPED. The American Shipping Board has issued orders that 124 war-time vessels, which have been laid up at various ports of America, are to be withdrawn from the registry preparatory to being scrapped.
