John Smith, alias Snowy Rowles, who is awaiting June 13 for the murder of Leslie Brown, also known as Louis Carron, a New Zealander, made a statement that Brown was accidentally poisoned during Smith’s absence by poisoned butter kept for killing foxes. He found Brown’s body and, believing Bis storj* would not be accepted on account of his criminal record, he decided to dispose of the body. Smith’s solicitor made this statement public and it wilt be submitted to the Attorney-General.
