HUSBAND PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 5. Ellen Baker, aged 37, caught by the police laying totalisator odds at tho Ellerslie racecourse on Saturday, was to-day fined £5, in default imprisonment for a month. It was stated that she had taken 114 silver bets. Her husband had been previously fitted for a similar offence and was not allowed on the course.
