MINE AIR COMPRESSOR BURSTS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 20. With the explosion of an air compressor at Broken Hill two mine officials named Edgar Gilbert and Charles Pett were killed, buildings nearby were shaken and windows were broken. The noise was heard throughout the city. The victims were attempting to start the air compressor when it blew out at the side they were standing at.
