SENTENCES AT CHRISTCHURCH.

Christchurch, July 24.

Prisoners were sentenced by Mr. Justice Adams as follow: Leonard Carpenter and Alfred Norman O’Meara, breaking, entering and theft at Kaikoura, two years’ reformative detention; Patrick John Sheridan, theft of £250, two years’ reformative detention. Counsel said prisoner had lost several contracts at Queenstown as the result of the case.
