Jiffy 28, when Pinto will meet Pencheff at the' Hall. -The management has decided to place the ring on the floor and is arranging the seating accommodation so that every patron will have an unobscurod view and yet be dose enough to follow the holds accurately. With the type of wrestlers selected for this opening bout a fast and interesting contest is assured,
George Pencheff was born in Bulgaria 24 years ago, weighs 13st 12Ibs, stands sft lOin and has • a chest measurement of 46 inches. He began his wrestling as an amateur in the Austrian Army, where wrestling is part of the training. Jn ■ 1927 ha became a professional and Won the heavyweight championship of Serbia, soon afterwards annexing the ■Roumanian and Bulgarian, titles. In J 928 he came to Australia and has gone from, one success to another. In Australia ho defeated Meeqke, . Saverloff (present Australian heavyweight champion) Bucht, McLaughlin, Higgins, Labriola, Lurich, Koolman, “Wild Man Dawson” and several" others.
Pencheff is "a fast and;rugged -wrestler and with his thorough knowledge of the grappling business has a brilliant career in front of him and bids fair to gain the forefront of the game in New Zealand this reason. In Pinto Pencheff will meet a very difficult matman. Recently Kara Pasha, “The Terrible Turk,” had to be content to wrestle U draw with Pinto, so there will be something - doing on Tuesday evening.
