Tn one week after the six weeks residence for divorce rule camo into effect in Nevada 250 divorces were granted in Reno alone. The previous record total in one week was 42. _ In the first three days not one application was refused, and the average time of hearing was ten minutes. Many of tho applicants were married the day after the divorce was granted, and one was married 15 minutes after the judge had ruled in her favour. &cvcn of every ten applications are from women, mostly under 30.
