INGLEWOOD NEWS

PLANE’S UNEXPECTED VISIT. •An aeroplane coming from the Auckland direction came swooping down over Inglewood yesterday, apparently looking for a landing place, and many residents thought the plane was making a forced landing. One or two paddocks were tried but were too short and eventually tlie plane landed on Mr. R. Ritoli'O’s farm, Hursthouse Road, by the old mill. Pilot Bunny of the Rotorua Aii ways made a beautiful landing in a long narrow paddock between pine trees. Pilot Bunny had a passenger from Hamilton who had to be in Inglewood 'by 1 o'clock.

It dm not take long for a large number rf residents to gather and two went for rides and Pilot Bunny did a number of stunt! with his passengers. The machine then left for Bell Block to refuel. The plane returned at 2.30 to take the passenger back to Hamilton, but four more passengers were waiting for rides and. he took them up, circling around Inglewood, with each trip looping the loop and cork-screwing.
