Rec. 1.15 a.m. Sydney, June 9. In the ten-day billiards match against the Englishman Tom Newman, the Australian Walter Lindrum has created a world record with two consecutive breaks of 1030. It was a coincidence that the breaks were exactly the same. Lindrum, who conceded Newman 5500, has scored 13,476, his other good breaks to-day being 512 and 433. Newman has scored 14.045, including 'breaks to-day of 296 and 430. The match commenced last Wednesday.
