SWEEPSTAKES IN ENGLAND
EARLY STATEMENT IN COMMONS.
British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. . Rugby, June 8. An early statement in Parliament on the subject whether amendment of the law in relation to sweepstakes was necessary or desirable, which is receiving careful consideration by the Government, was promised by the Home Secretary, Mr. J. R. Clynes, in replying to a question in the House of Commons to-day.
