AUCKLAND GIRL CHOSEN, TOUR THROUGH THE DOMINION ! An Auckland girl, Miss Ysolinde Mc« Veagh, prominent in amateur dramatic circles, has been engaged by J. C Wil-, liamson, Limited, to accompany its Eng-£ lish comedy company, at present play-1 ing “The First Mrs. Fraser”. at Auckland, on its tour through New Zealand. She will understudy a number of parts, principally those of Miss Mary MacGre- : . gor, in that play and altso in: the come- . dies “Let Us Be Gay” and “Hay Fever.” . Miss MoVeagh, who is the elder, daughter of Mr. R. MeVeagh, is one of the most' popular players in the Auckland Little Theatre Society, hav-... ing taken/principal parts in six of ite -. productions. ■ She'had a part in the society’s first/: ■ /.production, Shaw’s “Fanny’s First Play,” produced under the direction of/the late Mr. Herbert J. Bentley., She appeared in Shaw’s “The Man . of..'Destiny,” in “The Maid of France',’-' -iii-/“Mrs. Moonlight,” in ; “The Man. They 'Buried,” and in the society’s last production, “A Bill of Div-, orcenjent’.” ’ She /has also acted in many other amateur productions in Auckland, including Hastings Turner’s comedy, “Lilips of the Field.” .
