British Wireless. Rugby, Feb. 17. The first of the great four-engined flying-boats which Short Brothers, Rochester, have built for Imperial-Air-ways is being launched this week. It will be used over sea and along.the Nile on the route to the Cape which will shortly be opened. A Handley-Page 40seater land machine is also completing its initial trials.

Both craft before the service begins will undergo the customary official flying trials. They are much bigger and considerably faster than any existing commercial machines.
