His terrified little son, carrying his money, ran into the house and revealed the crime to his aunt who took charge of the money and put the distraught child to bed between her own sons. Her husband arrived and confessed to the murder. He said he was embittered because he had not found the money in his brother-in-law’s pockets. The wife admitted the boy’s presence and the husband then announced that he would murder him in his own baker’s oven and take the money. The terrified nephew overheard the plot and changed places with one of his cousins in bed. The murderer and his wife crept-in,-gagged their own child, enveloped him in a rug and threw him into the oven. The intended victim meanwhile ran for the police who found in the oven the horrible evidence of the crime, and arrested the couple.-
