FINE ATHLETIC PROGRAMME.

Entries for the Wanganui-Taranaki Athletic. Centre’s electric light meeting tft-morrow evening are the best receiv* ed since the national championships here last year. The entries are from clubs from Wellington to New Plymouth. The three American athletes, Rothert, Kiser arid Simpson, will be against strong opposition in some events. The meeting of Don Evans, Dominion title holder, and Rufus Kiser in the mile promises to be a great race. Both are fit. Kiser is better than he has yet felt in the tour and Evans has been in strict training for sojno time. In the half mile Kiser will be against Ogg, the Wellington provincial champion. . » Hamilton, Stratford and Strange, Palmerston North, both off yards, are next to Simpson in the 100 yards. The same two men are expected to provide his strongest opposition in the 220 yards. In the shot putt Rothert is giving up to 17 feet, and he will be on scratch in the broad and high jumps.
