CONGRATULATIONS FROM QUEEN.

Visiting the British industries fair with the Duke and Duchess of York and the Duke of Gloucester, the Queen commenced with the Marketing Board’s bright pavilion. She siiook hands with Mr. H. T. B. Drew, the New Zealand publicity officer, and remarked on the effectiveness of the display. The Queen expressed sympathy with the earthquake sufferers, saying: “How plucky they arc, and how quickly they are getting down to the business of re--building the damgged aipas,’’
