• Greater activity is reported in the wool trade in France. I’rices for tops improved and yarns are tn stronger doniahd. Prices are slightly better and there is more inquiry for noils. Tlie general forie of the trade is much brighter. The futures markets at Antwerp and Roubaix reflect the improvement. The prices for tops in Germany are slightly better, British business is quiet. Though topmakers are well employed only 52 per cent, of the looms are working but the knitting and hosiery’trades are fairly busy.
