ASSISTANT PUBLIC TRUSTEE
Chief accountant promoted.

Wellington, Feb. 17. The Prime Minister announces that ‘h" Governor-General in Council has on his recommendation appointed Mr. W. M. Barr to be assistant Public trustee, vice Mr.. Turner, who was recently appointed Under-Sceretary of Defence. Air. Barr formerly occupied the position of chief accountant of the Public Trust Office, and in this capacity he gained wide knowledge in the general management of the office.
