Wellington,. Feb. 17. The Secretary of the General Post Office advises that the following report was’ received’ from the postmaster, at Kaikoura to-day:—“The following piece of wreckage wag found on the Kp,ikotlra beach on Sunday morning: The side and crosspiece of a panelled cabin door 4ft Sin long by 21 Jin wide of 4 x 2 kauri timber, the crosspiece being bin wide. The hinges have been wrenched off. The top part of the door is painted ■ white and the lower blue grey. It has evidently not been long in the ivilter as J no barnacles were attached.” To ascertain whether the wreckage might be from the missing yacht Windward the builder of the Windward was appproached. He had no. hesitation in stating that the wreckage was not part of the craft. There was nothing on the Windward as large as that found, in addition to which the Windward had no doors.
