NEW PLYMOUTH ATHLETICS

RAIN SPOILS AMATEUR MEETING ROSE RUNS WELL IN MILE RACE. The weekly meeting of the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic Club at Pukekura Park last night was spoilt by showers of rain which made conditions unpleasant for the spectators and competitors. However, keen racing and good finishes were provided and the half and one mile handicaps were two exceptionally fine l contests. The New Zealand chanipion, R. A.
