RUM-RUNNER CAPTURED
COASTGUARD FIRE KILLS THREE.

Two interesting incidents fin connection with rum-running occurred to-day. A coastguard vessel off Newport was firing upon an escaping American rumrunner dubbed “Black Duck,*' and. it killed three and wounded one of the crew. A large cargo of liquor was captured. A supposedly British rum-runner, “Fler del Mar,” was discovered, laden with liquor and on fire, by a coast patrol off Montauk.
