FATALITY IN TREACHEROUS RIVER By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Dec. 19. A drowning accident occurred, in. the Waikato River, 37. miles above tho Arapuni dam, on Tiiesday afternoon, th© victim being Mr. Jack Sainsbury, a Government survey cadet. Ho lost his life while attempting to recover a dinghy which had broken loose. Sainsbury and a friend, Alan Mills, noticed a dinghy floating away. They both stripped and attempted to recover it. Tho river in the vicinity is treacherous owing to the strong currents and rapids. Both., were caught in the rapids and Mills was thrown on a rock and was able to reach the shore.
