ITALIAN COMMITS SUICIDE MOTHER IN CRITICAL CONDITION. SORDID QUEENSLAND TRAGEDY. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rcc. 10 p.m. Sydney, Dee. 17. Peter Plozza, an Italian, aged about 40, to-day shot Mrs. Catherine Vedova, with whom he lived at Mourilyan, Innisfail. She was critically injured. Plozza then shot the woman’s 13-year-old daughter dead with a bullet through her head. The police pursued the Italian into the bush, where he shot himself in the mouth, yet struggled with the police. He declared the woman had robbed him of £lOOO, He died on the way to hospital.
