TARANAKI HUNT CLUB CUP ILINDICAP STEEPLECHASE, of 170 sovs., and a Gold-mounted Whip presented by Mr. A. Lile, of New Plymouth, to rider of the winner. First horse to receive 100 sovs. In specie and Cup valued at £3O. Second horse to receive 25 sovs., and third horse 15 sovs. from the stakes. For qualified hunters, season 1929, that have never won a race exceeding in value 250 sovs. to the winner at time of starting (Hunters’ Races excepted). Minimum weight, lOst. Nomination, 1 sov., acceptance, 1 sov. Six furlongs. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Part XV., Rule 13.—"8y the enteiing of a horse every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse, shall bj deemed thereby to undertake neither directly nor indirectly to make any wager with a bookmaker in connection with such horse or any other horse in the race in which such horse Is entered. Each entry shall-contain or, if it do not contain, shall be conclusively assumed to contain, such an undertaking, breach whereof shall be deemed a corrupt practice of the turf within the meaning of Part XXXII. of these Rules." Qualified hunters are those that have qualified in compliance with Part 6 of the New Zealand Hunts Association Rules. Masters’ certificates of qualification must bo produced at the scales if not notified in the official calendar. The winner of any race after the de-clar-tion of weights may be rehandicapped. NOMINATIONS will close at the Secretary’s Office, Egmont Street, New Plymouth, on MONDAY, August 12, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS will be declared on or about MONDAY, August 19.
