DEFALCATIONS ALLEGED
ELDERLY CLERK FACES CHARGE.

Wellington, July 25.
Walter Whitehouse, a clerk aged 59, was remanded in the Magistrate’s Court to-day on, a charge of failing to account for £658 to his employers, the Te Aro Loan and Discount and Investment Company. Bail was allowed.
