FOUR MEN SHOT IN SYDNEY HOUSE DEFENDED WITH GUN ONE DIES OF HIS WOUNDS By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, Australian Press Association. Sydney, July 17. . The shooting of four men early thia morning at Maroubra, the police believe is a continuance of the gang warfare by members of the underworld. George Gaffney was shot right through the body and died. Two others were treated in the hospital, but refuse to give an account of the affray. Tho police state that four or live men attacked a house, but one of the defenders used .an army service rifle with deadly effect. . James Devine has been charged wit-b having murdered Gaffney.
