ALPINE CLUB AFFAIRS.

COMMITTEE MEETING HELD. A meeting of the Mt. Egmont Alpine Club Committee was held at Hawera on Tuesday night, Mr. W. G. W 7 alkley presiding. Votes of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. W. Salt, and the Ruapehu Ski Club, of which Mr.. Salt was president,: were passed, members standing in silence. . ( . The proposed Mt. Cook trip at Christmas was freely discussed. It was reported that the preliminary arrangements were well in hand, and that a number of names had already been handed in. The activities for the next few weeks had been arranged, reported the programme committee. After the next fall of snow the postponed trip to the ski track would be undertaken. It was decided that the clubs Norwegian skis be offered for sale to members desiring to purchase them. Six new members were elected.
