PROVISION FOR EARTHQUAKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, July 10. The Harbour Board engineer (Mr. Holderness) submitted to the board proposals for strengthening the Princess, Queen’s and King’s wharves against earthquakes at an estimated cost of £5OOO. Wharves built up to 1925 have no structural provision against earthquakes, but those built later are strengthened against lateral stress.
