SUCCESSFUL LONG-NIGHT DANCE

Success attended the efforts of the Rotokare Tennis Club when a gorgeous night favoured the staging of the “longnight” dance, and the Westown hall, New Plymouth, was comfortably filled. Dancing was under a canopy of multicoloured flowers and drooping streamers, the club’s colours, blue and gold, being predominant, while fernery relieved the colour scheme. Tucked away in a bestreamered bower, McNeill’s dance band played the latest “hits.” Arrangements were kept well in hand by the committee composed of Mrs. A. Nixon, Misses B. Lobb, R. Johnstone, M. Bennett, Messrs. R. Yates,- A. Nixon, R. Ninkie and Sole, who were also responsible for the artistic decorations.
