AUCKLAND SUPREME COURT
SENTENCE OF PRISONERS.

In the Supreme Court the following prisoners were sentenced: Reginald Gordon CottcriH,' aged 19, famous for cat burglar exploits (27 charges), three years’ Borstal; Percival Charles Yates, aged 26, robbery with violence at Hamilton, nine months; Hori Sonny Hoare, aged 19, theft of horse at Opotiki, three years’ probation; Charles Richard Tortenson, aged 30, carnal knowledge, Whangarei, two years reformative detention; Frederick llemy Norton, carnal knowledge at Te Puke, three years’ probation; Walter Hunter (Maori) breaking, entering and theit. Auckland, three years’ hard labour; Jack Hopo (half-caste), breaking, entering and theft, Auckland, one years hard°labour, followed by one years reformative detention; Ivan Major Martin IHing, breaking, entering and theft, Auckland, three years’ reformative detention; Howard William Whitefield, aged 22, breaking, entering and theit at Rawcne, three years’ probation.
