FORMATION OF DAIRY COUNCIL.

As a consequence of the establishment of Empire Dairies, Limited, for marketing in Britain dairy produce Irom all Empire countries, the directors of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, and Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, after conferring with Mr. W. Grounds, formerly chairman of the Dairy Produce Control Board, have decided to form a dairy council to consist of the chairmen of all companies entrusting produce for sale to the care of Amalgamated Dairies, Limited. This council will meet annually or at any time in the case of a crisis. In addition to considering market problems it will nominate three directors of the board of Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, two representing the North Island dairy factories and one the South Island factories.
