RAILWAY BUS COLLISION
DRWER PROVED INTOXICATED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 6. As the result of a collision between a railway bus and a stationary lorry on the evening of June 27, Thomas Corcoran, driver of the bus, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court charged with intoxication while in charge of a vehicle, also dangerous driving. After the evidence of Dr. Pattie and the bus,inspector and several passengers had been gi"en, accused, who is no longer with the Railway Department, , was fined £2O and costs and his license suspended for 12 months. He was allowed a fortnight in which to pay the fine.
