RAIN PROBABLE GENERALLY.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Moderate to strong northerly winds reaching gale force at places are forecast north of Westport and Akaroa, backing to westerlies and at times to south-westerlies. Seas will be generally rough in New Zealand waters. The weather will be dull and unsettled with general rain and many heavy falls, especially from the Taranaki and Wellington districts southwards. Snow is probable on the highlands of the South Island with temperatures becoming colder.
