CONFIDENCE IN DAIRYING. Palmerston North, J ; ly 10. Referring to recent sales of land in the Kairanga district at a meeting of the Palmerston Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, the chairman (Mr. M. A. Eliott) referred to the high value of this land held for dairying purposes, stating that the prices obtained for it tended to show that confidence in the i uture of the farmer was not wanting. _ One property of 60 acres without buildings on it, he said, had sold for £6O per acre, while another property of 90 aeres with a dwelling on it had realised £73 per acres Considerably less would have been, accepted some time ago,
