M. Peret, Minister of Finance, in an optimistic speech, expressed the opinion that France was at the end of the exchange crisis. He had met the representatives of the great banks, and had explained the measures adopted by Parliament, which, he said, would be ample to balance the 1026 Budget. M. Peret added that he expected to conclude an arrangement in the near future for funding the debts to Britain and America. The bank representatives had promised their hearty co-operation.
