Jack McDowall (Wanganui) I Clarence Atkins (Normanby) 2 L. Jones (Toko) 3 HOME INDUSTRIES. Judge: Mr. A. S. Davis. There were very good entries in the home industries section, and they were very creditable throughout. In several classes it was very difficult to differentiate between exhibits. This was especially so in the Christmas cakes classes. The Madeira and seed cakes classes were very good and the sponge cakes were very even. The scones look a good deal of consideration before prizes were awarded. In the bread classes the first prize white loaf caused a good deal of favourable comment on the part of ■ who said it was an exceptionally fine exhibit and worthy of exhibition in any home industry section. The afternoon tea biscuits were abo very good, and the prize-winning exhibits were very well finished. Throughout this section there was only one exhibit which the judge could call faulty, the exhibits otherwise were well up to the standard.
