In the Davis Cup match, Gilbert beat Ulrich, 6-1, 9-11, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. Copenhagen, May 27. In the second round of the Davis Cup contest, 'Wheatley (Britain) beat Petersen (Denmark) 4-6, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2. AUSTRALIAN WOMEN ON TOUR. Received May '29, 5.5 p.m. London, May 28. Wet weather has so far prevented the Australian women tennis players using grass courts. 'To-day they had their usual practice on hard courts at Roehampton. Their form has much improved.
