The Nationalist newspapers most indignantly comment on the Allies’ Note regarding military control of Germany, and demand the rejection of the Note, regardless of the consequences, declaring it is a violation of the Treaty of Versailles. The moderate journals, although disappointed, recognise that an abrupt rejection would do Germany more harm than good.
