BOXING.
TOURNAMENT AT GISBORNE. By Telegraph.— Association Gisborne, Last Night. The Poverty Bay amateur boxing championships resulted: —Bantam, F. Turbitt; feather, A. E. Robertson; fight, W. T. Rickard; heavy, G. Nelson. In a professional contest between Tom Heeney and Jim Flett (Sydney), Flett’s seconds threw in the towel in the ninth roud, after Flett had been down three times. Flett was hopelessly outclassed from start to finish.
