ROASTED TO DEATH.
ITOWAWAY6 ON STZAMSR. FIVE DEAD; OTHERS OOTICAI. By Telegraph.—Prees Assn.—Copyright. Received June 14, 8.15 p.m. New York, June 14. The sugar freighter Santa Theresa, which has arrived at Philadelphia, reports that five Cuban stowaways were trapped between the coal bunkers and the boilers while the ship was en route from Cuba and were literally roasted to death by the scorching heat from the boilers. Four other Cubans, who also stowed away in a hold not far from the five, were in a sario ns condition when the ship arrived. They Ihul -been gassed by fumes from the boilers, and are not expected to live.
