INDIAN BANK SUSPENSION. . Delhi, April 29. The suspension of the Alliance Bank of Delhi has caused consternation. Thousands of Europeans, individuals and firms are affected. The bank s position has been regarded as somewhat shaky for some time. Europeans anticipated Government backing to prevent closing. It is believed that within a few days it will be possible to pa;, investors 50 per cent, of their deposits, but there is no official announcement on this point. THE ALLEGED CROOK. Paris, April 29. Warren denies that he served sentences in Australia or was leader of a band of international crooks. He declares that her arrest humiliated his wife, who was related to persons in high positions in England. He alleges that she is the divorced wife of a former Cabinet Minister in a large Bri 7 tish Dominion. Her three brothers are magistrates in London, Canada and Egypt.
