STOLEN RACEHORSE FOUND. Taumarunui, Monday. A new development in connection with the theft of £l7OO from a Maori’s house at Taringamotu is the discovery of the racehorse Miss Rangi in the locality. The horse was stolen from a paddock at Matapuna last week, and when found by the police was still carrying a saddle and bridle. It is stated that two charges were used to blow open the safe, which contained the money, but the attempt, although determined, is not considered to be the work of a professional thief.
