CORRESPONDENCE.

ELECTRIC POWER,

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I desire to publicly repudiate the statements made at the Stratford County Council to the effect that the Stratford Borough Council has an axe to grind and wants to get rid of obsolete plant. The Stratford Borough Council supports an extensive board because it recognises that it would be in the best interests of th/? province as a whole. Such a board elected from a wide area could be depended upon to conserve the general interests, and not favor any particular district. The statements referred to are base and untrue, and the spirit which prompts them does much to retard cohesion and progress. The public will, I feel sure, condemn a cause which is so weak that its supporters have to resort to.such deplorable tactics. —I am. .etc.. J. W. McMILLAN.
